How to Write your Own Music (Tip of the Day: Write it down!)

No doubt, you have heard of famous song-writing teams like Kander and Ebb, George and Ira Gershwin, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. One thing, everyone has in common is the need to communicate musical ideas. Writing music down is the easiest way to communicate if you don’t have the person in front of you, showing you what the song sounds like.

Tip: I recommend that you learn how to read and write music (even, just the basics) so you can communicate your ideas.  Start by getting a beginning music theory book and learn the musical language.  No matter If you write a blues tune, pop song or a country ballad, in writing it down, other musicians will get what you mean and be able play along. Instant Band!!!!
