NYC Music School supports Women’s Empowerment Music from S. Africa

I am constantly amazed at the good things  being created by Grace Music Studio students. Grace Music Studio, a New York Music School, has many and varied students who take piano lessons, singing lessons and acting lessons. One voice student is helping to bring women’s empowerment music from South Africa to the rest of the world.  He (yes, I said he) is passionate about the new project he is producing with singer Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang. The music is culturally African and the lyrics speak about peace, equality and women’s rights-pretty radical (even this far past the Beatles heyday…). The project is due to tour the Southwestern US. in March and is raising funds for the tour on Kickstarter by asking people to pledge $1  or more. Check out the link below to hear some of this great music, watch a video about Janka and give if you are inspired  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1514116590/janka-nabay-and-the-bubu-gang-sxsw-tour.  Peace love and music.- Julia 🙂
