How to Write your Own Music: Develop Your Initial Idea

You have recorded your initial idea for a song,  and you have discovered what you are missing. Now, you must add those things that are missing in order to create the whole song.   I recommend picking one, yes only one, thing that is missing from your song and work on adding it to what you already have.

This process takes a while, sometimes hours, sometimes months; so don’t get frustrated and don’t give up. Just keep telling yourself, yes, this is good – even if it’s not perfect, you can always go back later and change what you don’t like.  When you have all four components: Melody, Lyrics, Chords/Background and Rhythm, you will have your own song!!!
